I know I spell like s--t. I know my grammar stinks. I know my writing skills smell. I think I will write a movement, but that is musical so I will post a blog instead.
Today we left Escanaba, Michigan .and traveled to Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. It is a little humid and cloudy.
The sun is up and the weather is perfect for the ride. Tee shirt all the way. Leaving Esconaba at 8:15 am. The next stop is to take pictures of Lake Michigan. We will then stop for gas in Manistique, Michigan
The scenery is just getting better as we go. Once again in Gods country.
We just crossed over Lake Superior waiting on the bridge to go into Canada. They didn't even ask me for my passport.
We are going to Sault Ste. Marie where my brothers wife was born. I am looking forward to seeing that city. We are now in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. It is 1:00 pm 184 miles into today's trip. We are looking for a hotel that Edie's father Al and mother Sylvia owned until 1958. We are looking for Brock and Bay Sts. The hotel is called The New American Hotel. We found it. I went inside and met the owner I told him about Al and Sylvia . He told me that his dad bought the business from Al and Silvia in 1958. He now, the son of the man who bought the business, runs the business. You will see a picture of him behind the bar. The rest of the pictures revolving around The New American Hotel are clients (his best clients), and the hotel itself.
As I was taking the pictures I felt Al and Sylvia working. It was emotional. This was the place that they worked so hard at so they could supply their kids with a very fulfilled life. Dr. Stan and Dr. Mark and my great sister in law Little Edie. I felt then working at the bar I truly miss Al and Sylvia.
Now to more happier thoughts. I want to know exactly and I do mean exactly what Dr. Stan and Dr. Mark did when they were kids or young adults at the bar and hotel. I understand the they were big in the pants dept. at Eaton's Department Store. Well boys you can e mail me the details at : reckonsr@aol.com
On the way to Sudbury, Lake Superior was on my right side and Lake Huron was on my left side. 60 miles to Sudbury. We are in Massey, Ontario, Canada getting gas.
We saw lots of Mennonite people in this area.
We arrived in Sudbury at 7:10 pm
We traveled 382 miles.
Remember: Catching a yellow jacket in your shirt at 75 mph can double your vocabulary.
