8-10-2010 Keystone South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Rapid City S.D., Sturgis S.D.

182.5 miles today

Today was one of the best days of my life.  I wish I could of shared it with so many people.

We left Keystone S.D. at 7:00 AM and ride our motorcycles to Mount Rushmore .  It was a great experience seeing Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Washington.  We left Rushmore and stopped for gas in Rapid
City S.D.  We then went to a motorcycle event in Rapid City.  There were more motorcycles than one could ever imagine.  Lots of old men, young girls, and beer.  It is now 10:00 AM.  All the guys are having a special spark plug installed into their motorcycles.  They are suppose to make their motorcycles perform more efficiently.  I am sitting under a shade tent having a Diet Coke.  It is F---ing hot.

The Black Hills of South Dakota are called that because the hills are full of trees and the way the sun hits the trees (or the shade hits the trees) makes the hills look black, hence the Black Hills of South Dakota.

When we leave Rapid City we will ride to Sturgis S.D.  It's their 70th annual event in the Black Hills.  I can't wait to go there.

Leaving Rapid City  11:30 AM.

We are now in Sturgis.  Yipee 12:00 noon

This is the wildest place I have ever been.  I love it.   Take L.A.  during rush hour traffic.  Turn all the cars to Harlies and double it.  That is Sturgis.  This is fun and exciting.

A   B1 Bomber just did a fly by.

I think I died and went to heaven or hell.  Which ever one it is I like it.

I can't believe how wild this place is.  I am going to miss Sturgis.  Leaving at 3:30 PM.

When we leave Sturgis we will be riding to Wall South Dakota.

I'd rather be riding my motorcycle and thinking about a higher power, than sitting in temple thinking about my motorcycle.
