Day 16
8-22-2010
Leaving Dixby, Nova Scotia and traveling to Ellsworth, Maine   (we travled 245 miles today)
6:30 AM Nova Scotia time:
We are leaving the f---ing Mountain Gap Hotel and p---------farm in Dixby, Nova Scotia.  We are headed to the ferry that will take us to Saint John, New Brunswick.
8:00 AM New Brunswick time:
We are on the ferry, "The Princess Acadia", headed to Saint John, New Brunswick.  Lane and I are reviewing the pictures of our trip.  He has the pictures that everyone has taken on a storage back up.  He will eventually give us each a copy of all the pictures.  Thank you, Lane.
I am lucky to be on this trip with these guys.  I am a much better motorcycle rider because of them.  I cherish their advise.  I try to listen and learn.  Sometimes it is hard to listen but I am trying hard to do so.  I have a long way to go but I will get there because I want to be a great motorcycle rider.  I have noticed that some of the guys are in some sort of physical pain from this ride, but they don't say a word about it.  They just tough it out.  I don't,  I complain all the time.  I wonder if I get on there nerves?  Probably.  It is just me.
11:10 AM New Brunswick time:
We are off the ferry and in Saint John, New Brunswick.  We are headed to Ellsworth, Maine.
12:45 PM New Brunswick time:
We are going to a gas station in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick.  On the way John radioed Lane telling him he had to take a pee.  Lane understood him to say "take exit P".  Well that was the one of the times the group got separated.  Part of the group followed John and the other part got on the freeway to look for exit "P". Just a little confusion.  We all found each other and went on our merry way to the gas station.
12:30 Eastern time:
We are back in the good old USA in the state of Maine.  We crossed the border from New Brunswick, Canada to a small border town by the name of Calais, Maine.  Our customs inspector name was Inspector Eagan.  He waived us through showing just our I.D.'s .  What a guy.
ST Croix Island, Maine is a historic and famous island.  You can see the pictures of the first island after we crossed the border.
Every town we have come to so far has had some historic significance.  One town after another with way to many to mention.  The towns were built in the 1700's but dated back as far as the early 1600's
2:20 PM Eastern time:
We are now in Lebec, Maine.  We are having lunch.  Left Lebec, Maine and headed to Ellsworth, Maine  where we will stay for the night. It started to rain when we left Lebec.  We changed into our rain clothes and off we went.
6:42 PM eastern time:
We are in Ellsworth, Maine
Remember:
1.Some times it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight
2.It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job: It's a depression when you lose yours
