Day 7 Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Escanaba, Michigan 8-13-2010

I know that I spell like s--t.  I know my grammar stinks.  I know my writing skills smell, but I am still posting.

We left the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and are heading to Escanaba, Michigan.

We will be traveling through Greenbay, Wisconsin.

It is 6:00am and I'm cleaning my bike.  It is clear outside but it is cloudy in the distance.  It is very humid.  My pants and shirt are already wet from the humidity.

First stop is the Harley museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  What a great place.  480 motorcycles in their collection

We left the meseum at 12:00 noon

We are now on our way to the Harley dealer in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.  Bill's bike developed an oil leak.  We arrived in Sheboygan at 2:00 pm.

The manager of the Harley dealership just told us that we could store our bikes inside because there is a tornado warning.  The winds are starting to blow.  He would of let us stay at the dealership overnight to keep us safe.

We decided to go for it.  About 50 miles down the road the freeway traffic was stopped.  Lots of police cars were there guiding the traffic.  I started to think about the Tin Man, The Lion, and Dorothy.  We were on our way to Oz.  There were heavy wind gusts.  I felt my helmet trying to blow off.  I was pushed from one lane to the other.  Then I saw it, a car fire.  A big rig also ran off the road.

We are very close to Michigan.  We have traveled 200 miles.  We are now back in Gods country.  Unfortunately I didn't have my camera out so I I must tell you by memory.  100 to maybe 1,000 acres with an old red barn that was perfectly maintained, horses, cows, chickens, etc. a huge house also very old and well maintained.  The properties are very stately looking.

We are now in Escanaba, Michigan 59 miles from the Wisconsin boarder.  We traveled along Lake Michigan for about 25 miles.  It looks like the ocean, but we all know that it is one of the Great Lakes.

We travled 260 miles today.
