Day 21 Friday August 27, 2010 Touring Boston, Massachusetts

Day 21    Friday  August 21, 2010- Touring Boston- We didn't use our motorcycles today, they are at the Harley dealer being serviced.  9:00 AM  We are going to tour Boston today. We are in the hotel shuttle on our way to the train station.  We are going to the Freedom Trail.  9:35 AM We are in downtown Boston on the Freedom Trail.  You follow the red line on the street and you will walk by the historic sites.  We are having a great time.  The church steeple is where Paul Revere hung the two lights.  You can see the picture after the picture, of the statue, of Paul Revere riding his horse.  12:15 PM We are at Ernesto's having the best pizza.  I would like to eat here every day.  Great pizza.  Now to Modern Pastry to have the best caneoli.  Next stop, to get a hair cut.  It was interesting, it was done the same way I remember it was when I was a kid.  Same brush, same straight edge razor, same leather strap to sharpen the razor, and the same machine to dispense the heated shaving cream.  It was another great experience through time.  We are now at Boston harbor where they dumped the tea into.  We are going to tour the USS Constitution launched in 1797 (old iron sides).  It was built so strong out of wood that when the oppositions cannon ball hit the tough wood they would not penetrate into the ship.  They thought that the strong wood was like iron, hence the nick name.  We took a water taxi to the train station and then a train to the airport exit.  Now we are waiting for the hotel shuttle to pick us up and to take us to the Harley dealer to pick up our motorcycles.  We will leave Boston at 7:00 AM tomorrow and we will be heading towards Niagara Falls.  I will miss Boston.
