Day 14 / 8-20-2010 / Friday / Tour Nova Scoita
It is very foggy this morning.
Today we are touring the eastern shore of Nova Scotia.
10:20 AM: We stopped for gas in Sheet Harbor. The sun has burnt off the fog. It is a beautiful day.
11:30 AM We met a group of muscle farmers in the city of Marie Joseph, Nova Scotia.
12:15 PM: We are in a very small town called Shebrooke, Nova Scotia. We are going to have lunch. This town reminds me of Mayberry. I think I will look for Andy, Barney, and Opie. This town has a museum. It is the actual town, that is the museum, that was started in 1860. I had pictures of the doctors office and the wood workers store but I deleted all my pictures by mistake. I will try to down load someone Else's pictures from today so that you can get the feel of this community and the eastern shore of Nova Scotia.
We are about to leave this town, another great experience in Nova Scotia (1:20PM).
2:00PM - Huston we have a problem. Bill's Apollo
Unit will not start and we are in the middle of somewhere. The mechanics of the group were able to solve the problem ( 2 pinched wires). We will be on our way in a minute 2:15PM.
3:00PM: We stopped for gas in Glascou, Nova Scotia
4:30 PM: We are back in Halifax at a Harley Davidson dealership.
It was a great day. After the sun burnt off the fog it was a long sleeve tee shirt day all the way.
We toured Nova Scotia and traveled 290 miles
5:45 PM: We are all safe and back at the hotel
I lost all of my great pictures for the day but I am going to download others.
Remember:
Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get real interesting until about 75 mph.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.
If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead , either write things worth reading or do things worth writing (Benjamin Franklin).
