Day 27  Thursday  September 2, 2010  We rode from Amarillo, Texas through New Mexico to Williams, Arizona.  Today we traveled 664 miles.  We left our hotel:  The Baymont Inn and Suites in Amarillo, Texas at 7:45 AM.  We stopped for gas in Tucumcari, New Mexico at 9:30 AM.  At 11:00 AM we stopped for gas in Milagro, New Mexico.  At 12:45 PM we stopped at a Harley dealer in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  AT 1:45 PM we stopped for lunch at the Hello Deli in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The food was good.  The restaurant was very crowded.  We found most of the delicious restaurants we stop at by John asking the locals where the most popular eateries were in that particular city.  We arrived in Williams, Arizona at around 6:00 PM.  We traveled a lot of miles today, my head was spinning, my brain was shut down I had to sit down.  After I gained my composure I had to make some more personal calls.  They didn't go well.  Tomorrow I will be home and start facing my realities.  I will try to get them out of the way quickly.  We are now back to Pacific Standard Time.  That feels great.  We are close to home.  Tomorrow we should be home sometime in the early evening.

Day 26 Wednesday September 1, 2010 Joplin, Missouri through Oklahoma to Amarillo, Texas

Day 26  Wednesday  September 1, 2010    We rode from Joplin, Missouri through Oklahoma to Amarillo, Texas.  We rode 485 miles.  We left our hotel, The Hampton Inn in Joplin, Texas, at 8:00 AM.  We stopped for gas in Vinta, Oklahoma at 9:00 AM.  There was not much to say today.  The weather was a little problem.  We were riding into a storm that you can see if you look at the pictures of the clouds after the picture of the dog in the big rig (these pictures do not give this storm justice it was big and dark).  It was like riding into a black hole.  We went from hot, to pouring rain and extremely foggy hot, to thunder and lighting hot to supper strong winds hot hot hot.  We rode most of the day in tee shirts and didn't mind getting soaked by the rain.  The wind was a little scary, we were pushed all over the road.   I had a bad day I had to deal with personal problems.  So my mind was on those things.  Sorry blog readers, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
